How do I become a HazardCo member?

It’s really simple, just give us a call on 0800 555 339. You can sign up over the phone or we can arrange for your rep to come out and see you.


What do I get with my membership?

How many App users can I have?

The HazardCo Mobile App for two users, plus access to the Admin portal for reports and alerts is included in your annual membership for Construction, Manufacturing and Ag/Hort (Office/Retail is coming soon). You can add additional users for a small monthly fee.

The 3rd, 4th and 5th users each cost $4.95 per month, for the 6th user and above you just pay $3 per user per month.

I can’t find the email with my Policy and Procedures, how do I get a copy?

You can download your Policy and Procedures document at any time by logging in to the members area of the website. Your login details were emailed to you when your membership began. If you've misplaced this email, just give us a call and we can reset your login details.


I have some health and safety questions, who can help me with them?

Our Advisory team is available during working hours on 0800 555 339 to help you with your health and safety related questions. Access to this advice is included in your annual membership and there is no limit to the number of times you can access this service.

We have had an incident, what is the reporting process?

Where an event (injury, illness, incident, near miss) occurs and a person appears to be injured, the priority is to preserve life by providing first aid and calling the emergency services on 111. Then seek advice from us on 0800 555 339 (day or night). We will talk you through the process and assist you with any event investigation forms. 

Workers are expected to report all events to their supervisor/manager, as well as to HazardCo (0800 555 339) for recording purposes. All events will be recorded on the Event Register by the site supervisor or worker in control of the site and discussed at the next Safety Meeting. 

All event documentation must be kept for a minimum of 5 years.

Who needs a Site Pack and who should have a Team Pack?

The principal contractor needs to have a (Site Specific Safety Plan) SSSP for each large or complex job, e.g a house build, as it details the hazards specific to the site and the controls that will be put in place. The Site Pack contains the SSSP, a site specific Hazard Board and a pack of resources to help you manage safety on site. You can even email the completed SSSP direct to your subcontractors for easy induction as well as send client induction information direct to the homeowner.

Team Packs are designed for workers who move regularly from job to job and are not usually managing larger building projects. Typical users of Team Packs are tradies such as plumbers, electricians, roofers and painters. Builders doing small jobbing type work can also use Team Packs. Subcontractors do not need their own SSSP, instead they should receive the SSSP from the main contractor as part of the induction process.

I’ve forgotten my website password, how do I reset it?

You can request a new password on the website itself. Click here and enter your username then click the email new password button.

I've forgotten my App password, how do I reset it?

You can use the "Forgot Password" link on the App login page to reset your password, you will be emailed your new password.

Do I need to have internet access while using the app?

At present, to submit reviews and conduct safety meetings users do need to have internet access. However we are currently developing an “offline” version allowing you to use the app when offline! We will keep you posted on when this is available.

Can I access forms or documents without being a member?
